Complete Backup and Archive Solution

The Spectra nTier500 Backup and Archive appliance enables you to backup and protect your data any way that your organization requires. A single nTier appliance gives you the ability to host multiple applications, backup to disk and satisfies all of your current and future storage needs. Compatible with a wide variety of data protection and backup applications, nTier uses an innovative and powerful hardware platform that streamlines your entire backup and archive environment. It can be configured as a network attached storage appliance acting as a disk target for staging data and its integrated server runs your preferred ISV backup package. Store data on the nTier500 needed on disk for 30, 60 or 90 days before archiving to tape. This solution permits data to be stored in the nTier500 NAS disk, then transferred via fast SCSI connection directly to the tape library for long-term archive.

Secure and Compact

However you use it, with the nTier500, your data is completely secure with customized RAID 6 protected disk arrays. The nTier500 permits very rapid data recovery and also can write data directly to a tape archive through the SCSI interface. This powerful storage appliance also offers 8 TB or 16 TB of raw storage and requires only a few inches (3U) of rack space.

Standard Warranty

The nTier500 is warranted for one year from the date of shipment from the factory. This warranty includes a SpectraGuard Next Business Day service contract. SpectraGuard Next Business Day service includes the following:

• Next business day delivery on customer replaceable parts.  On verification that a part has failed, a replacement will be shipped from factory to arrive onsite the next business day. 
• Access to a SpectraGuard technical representative any business day (not including evenings, weekends, or Spectra Logic recognized US holidays) from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (customer local time).
• Software and firmware updates
• 24/7 access to the SpectraGuard Knowledge Base and online documentation

Service Options

The following upgradeable service options are available to customers purchasing the Spectra nTier500.

SpectraGuard Next Business Day On Site

• Access to a SpectraGuard technical representative any business day (not including evenings, weekends, or holidays) from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (customer local time).
• Service visit from a field service representative, upon verification that the unit has malfunctioned.  If Spectra Logic is notified by 4:00 p.m. (customer local time), a field service representative will be dispatched that day for arrival the following business day before noon.

SpectraGuard Same Business Day On Site

• Round-the-clock telephone to a technical support representative – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
• Four-hour response, on-site service 5 days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

SpectraGuard Four Hour On Site

Our SpectraGuard Four Hour On Site service sets the standard for customers who require enterprise-level support.  This service provides all of the features from our standard services plus:

• Call priority when contacting SpectraGuard Support
• Round-the-clock telephone to a technical support representative – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
• Parts replacement within 4 hours, 365 days a year.  After it has been determined a part is defective, a field engineer will be dispatched to be onsite within 4 hours to replace the failed part
• Onsite disk spares, including a spare data disk and boot disk
• Onsite factory engineer response for hardware or software escalations, when necessary and available
