Remote Camera Monitoring

Observe and monitor the interior of your Spectra Logic library remotely with the web-based BlueScale™ Vision camera. The BlueScale Vision interface provides a full color display with zoom, pan, and tilt functionality for quick and easy access to see your internal library environment.

 
 

Hassle-Free Inspection

With its own IP address, you can log into a BlueScale Vision camera remotely to verify operation and conduct visual troubleshooting. If your library is installed in a lightsout location or satellite office, you can quickly assess your library's operational health through this invaluable remote tool. The view through the internal camera can save you travel expense and lost productivity without sending someone to the remote location for visual inspection of the library. For large, multi-frame T950 libraries, multiple cameras can provide end-to-end visibility of your enterprise environment. The BlueScale Vision camera is also available in Spectra T200, T380 and T680 libraries.

Space Constrained?

Data center floor space is at a premium today. Getting the most efficient use of your floor also means reducing space for maintenance. BlueScale Vision lets you see what's happening inside your library without pulling it from a tight row of racks or removing any covers. You can benefit from an advanced assessment of your library before you incur the time and expense of moving equipment around, improving your data center's operation while maximizing the floor space used.

Flexible Monitoring

You don't have to be in the data center to have real-time information about your environment or its performance. The same BlueScale Vision camera IP address that provides you monitoring capability at remote library locations also gives you the ability to manage other aspects of your library wherever you are. With simple internet access, you can easily manage and observe your library's health and operation from home, your office or on the road.

 


External Webcam Option Enhances Troubleshooting

BlueScale Vision is also available as an option in our industry-first Assisted Self Maintenance (ASM) program of user-replaceable hardware components. BlueScale Vision ASM gives you a portable external camera that captures live video outside of your library, allowing you to inspect interface ports, walk onsite associates through a troubleshooting process, or work directly with SpectraGuard Support. The camera immediately provides Spectra service personnel a real-time video feed of your library so they can assist you with troubleshooting operations, helping you determine if an onsite service call is necessary.

BlueScale Vision is a standard feature of T200, T380, T680, T950 (base frame) and T-Finity (master frame); and is an option for expansion frames on T950 and T-Finity. Field upgrades are available for previously installed T950 libraries. Field upgrades are not available for previously installed T200, T380 and T680 libraries.
